Mt. Ararat is located just south of an area known as "Indian Henry's Hunting Ground". Local Indians used to hunt in the area, but that's been banned since 1916 in Mt. Rainier National Park. Now, a backcountry summer ranger station is nestled among the trees and meadows there. Later in the winter, the small building will likely become completely buried by the snow.
