A pleasant little surprise. Even though I did find the main character annoying at times… and though some of the “illusions” were a bit far-fetched, it was still fun to watch him manipulate everyone and everything around him.

The Painted Veil

I just like seeing a movie where the characters actually grow, yet stay true to themselves. It’s such a rare thing… rare enough in the movies, rarer still in real life. So, in this movie about death on the frontier – true.
