This movie got completely ripped to pieces by anyone who bothered to say anything about it. Sure, it was horrible. But, it wasn’t as horrible as it was made-out to be. A couple of the characters were… no wait… the special effects were… no, not that… the plot! Nope. The writing? uhhhh… ok, maybe it was kind of irredeemable.

Airheads
Almost forgot about this one. I love the scene where they try to describe their “sound”. This movie says a lot more about “rock and roll” than “Almost Famous” (see below). This is how it really is. Ok, it wasn’t grand cinema or anything, but it’s always better to laugh with a movie than laugh at it.
Billy Madison
At the time I saw this, it was about the only bit of Adam Sandler that I could palette (sp?). It was an incredibly stupid and just plain brain dead movie, but I was able to sit through it. I couldn’t recommend it to anyone though – I saw this so you didn’t have to, so don’t.
The Wedding Singer
Probably the best thing that Adam Sandler has done. I know that he’s a genuinely talented and funny guy… so why has he done so many freakin’ obnoxious movies? I dunno, I guess his crummy movies have made a lot of money, so maybe he’s smarter than I thought. And Drew Barrymore? she does the “adorable kind of girl you wanna fall in love with” really well. (although she can be over the top sometimes)
The Waterboy
I avoided seeing this for quite some time, but finally, it happened. It was ok, but how in the world did this set any box-office records? Don’t people have anything better to spend their money on?
Happy Gilmore
I hate this movie with a passion. I haven’t seen all of Adam Sandler’s movies, but most of them suck. This one REALLY sucks. Yes, I know, a lot of people have just the opposite feeling. But, I guess I have a different view of golf. The jokes in this movie should be funny only to someone who doesn’t play much or any golf. It was totally shallow, and just unbelievably dumb. If you want to see decent golf humor, see caddyshack.
